WEEKLY BIBLE STUDY
GOSPEL HOUSE STATEMENT OF FAITH & DOCTRINE
I. The Holy Scriptures We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. It is the final authority for Christian faith and living, bridging all cultural and national boundaries. (This satisfies the Baptist "Sola Scriptura" and Non-Denominational focus on the Word.)
II. The Triune God We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We recognize God as the Creator of all people and the sustainer of the global Church.
III. The Lord Jesus Christ We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His vicarious and atoning death, His bodily resurrection, and His personal return in power and glory.
IV. Salvation and Grace We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful people, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential. Salvation is by grace through faith alone, a cornerstone of the Baptist tradition and the universal Christian Church.
V. The Church and Unity We believe the Church consists of all those who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. Gospel House specifically exists to manifest this unity by serving the African Diaspora and the local community in the 757 region, recognizing that in Christ there is "neither Jew nor Gentile," nor any national division.
VI. Water Baptism and Communion We practice Water Baptism by immersion as a public declaration of faith (consistent with Baptist tradition) and the regular observance of the Lord’s Supper as a remembrance of Christ’s sacrifice.
VII. The Great Commission (Outreach) We believe in the Great Commission to go and make disciples of all nations. Our ministry specifically focuses on the spiritual mobilization of the Kenyan American community and the wider Hampton Roads area through evangelism and leadership development.
